This database allows users to explore campaign contributions from Fortune 100 companies and their key employees to state and federal legislators who have supported anti-democracy efforts. Please note that Fortune 100 companies without corporate PAC or key employee donations will not appear in this database.

 

To filter the data being shown in the database, you can:

  • Search for a specific lawmaker, company, or state  
  • Use the 6 contribution type filters:
    • Corporate PAC Donations to Federal Lawmakers Who Opposed Voting Rights Legislation: Corporate PAC donations to members of Congress that opposed the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (JLVRAA), and/or the Freedom to Vote Act.
    • Corporate PAC Donations to Federal Lawmakers Who Supported Objections to Certifying the 2020 Election: Corporate PAC donations to members of Congress that supported objections to the Arizona and/or Pennsylvania electoral college votes.
    • Corporate PAC Donations to Federal Lawmakers Who Opposed a Congressional January 6th Investigatory Body: Corporate PAC donations to members of Congress that opposed the National Commission to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol Complex and/or the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.
    • Corporate PAC Donations to State Officials Who Voted for Anti-Voter Legislation: Corporate PAC donations to state officials that supported one of the following anti-voter laws: AL H.B. 285, AL H.B. 538, AR H.B. 1112, AR H.B. 1244, AR H.B. 1715, AR S.B. 643, AZ S.B. 1003, AZ S.B. 1485, AZ S.B. 1819, FL S.B. 90, GA S.B. 202, IA S.F. 413, IA S.F. 568, ID H.B. 290, IN S.B. 398, KS H.B. 2183, KS H.B. 2332, KY H.B. 574, MT H.B. 176, MT H.B. 530, MT S.B. 169, MT S.B. 196, MT S.B. 319, NH H.B. 523, NH S.B. 31, NY S.B. 264, OK H.B. 2663, TX H.B. 3920, TX S.B. 1111, TX S.B. 1, UT H.B. 12, WY H.B. 75.
    • Corporate PAC Donations to State Officials Who Supported 2020 Election Audits: Corporate PAC donations to state officials that supported election audits in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Wisconsin.
    • Large Contributions from Key Company Staff to Anti-Democracy Federal Legislators: Employee donations of $1,000 or more to members of Congress that opposed the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (JLVRAA), and/or the Freedom to Vote Act, supported objections to the Arizona and/or Pennsylvania electoral college votes, or opposed the National Commission to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol Complex and/or the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.

  • Only contributions that meet this criteria are included
  • ⬜️ Contributions that meet this criteria are removed; contributions that appear in multiple filters will not populate if the checkbox is empty
  • This filter is not currently active​; contributions related to this criteria are shown when all filters are inactive

The 3 visualizations display the data in different ways:

  1. The pie chart shows the total amount of money contributed to state and federal lawmakers by Corporate PACs and key employees of each Fortune 100 company. 
  2. The map shows the total amount contributed by Corporate PACs and key employees of Fortune 100 companies to lawmakers from each state.
  3. The table shows the actual contribution data. To export and explore it on your own: hover on the table, click the 3 dot ‘More’ menu, select ‘Export,’ and choose your export format.
