Biden Land Rule Restores Balance to Management of Public Resources
Accountable.US today released the following statement in response to news that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has announced its final rule to put conservation on an equal footing with drilling and other extractive activities on lands owned by federal taxpayers:
The opposition to this commonsense rule was completely unhinged from the start. We applaud President Biden and Secretary Haaland for cutting through the noise to restore balance to public land management. No single special interest group should get to run the show on federally-owned resources, so this move is a step toward greater equity and accountability at the Department of Interior.”
Chris Marshall, spokesperson for Accountable.US
Accountable.US previously documented that the group leading the charge against the BLM’s rule and petitioning counties to spend taxpayer money in support of their cause is a contributor to Project 2025, a concerted effort by a network of far-right groups to impose an extreme, unpopular agenda on Americans, consolidating power and undermining the principles we hold dear.
