What About Their Emails?

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Thumbing their nose at potential national security risks, President-elect Trump’s transition team is reportedly “overseeing a fully privatized transition that communicates from an array of @transition47.com, @trumpvancetransition.com and @djtfp24.com accounts rather than anything ending in .gov, and uses private servers, laptops and cell phones instead of government-issued devices.”

Government watchdog Accountable.US called on the Trump transition team to put national security above its peculiar desire to conduct transition business in the shadows away from public oversight. The revelations come as the Trump transition team has yet to release a promised list of transition donors and as they are refusing to limit the “size of donations to $5,000, as previous president-elects have.”

Never mind the rank hypocrisy of the entire Trump transition team operating in the shadows with private servers and emails even after Donald Trump screamed from the hilltops at the very idea in the past. The real problem is how reckless and irresponsible the Trump team is treating serious national security risks so that they can conduct business with and solicit donations without scrutiny."

Kayla Hancock, Accountable.US Trump Accountability War Room Director

“The administration full of billionaires, lobbyists, and insiders Donald Trump is assembling already has more conflicts of interest to count. To operate in total secrecy like this does not instill confidence that these conflicts won’t turn into special favors for the wealthy and well-connected at the public’s expense,” continued Hancock.
