Appointment of Tom Homan to “Border Czar”  First Step in Move Toward Project 2025 Administration

WASHINGTON, DC – Last night, President-elect Donald Trump announced that Project 2025 contributor Tom Homan will serve as the “border czar” in his incoming administration. Homan, who previously served in the first Trump administration as acting director of ICE, also contributed to the controversial GOP playbook, Project 2025.

In response, Accountable.US Executive Director Tony Carrk said, “Despite repeated promises that no one associated with Project 2025 would serve in his administration, one of President-elect Trump’s first hires was a Project 2025 contributor. It is clear the incoming Trump administration will carry out an extreme agenda that will gut our checks and balances, consolidate power, exert more control over our lives, and rip apart communities.”
