WASHINGTON, D.C. – Politico reports that Trump’s former attorney general, Bill Barr, has landed a book deal. Barr’s memoir will reportedly detail his time leading Trump’s Department of Justice — a stint characterized by widespread chaos and threats to democracy.

Career officials lamented Barr’s politicization of the Justice Department during his tenure, which included pushing false claims about voter fraud and election irregularities and potentially interfering with sentencing for Trump’s political allies.

“Allowing former senior Trump officials to benefit from their lies and anti-democratic values of the administration is a reflection of publishers’ corporate values — a deeply unfavorable one,” said Kyle Herrig, president of Accountable.US. “Publishing houses should think long and hard before they give a microphone to the senior officials behind Trump’s egregious policies that violated the core tenets of our democracy.”
