After leaving the White House, Stephen Miller continues to push cruel policies with his new right-wing group, America First Legal (AFL), with the sole mission of preventing the Biden administration from achieving progress by filing flimsy racism-laced lawsuits against the new administration   

Miller filed a class-action lawsuit against the Biden administration over a program in the American Rescue Plan that helps farmers and ranchers from key minority communities; the lawsuit alludes to reverse racism, a trope that panders to far-right extremists 

As senior advisor to former President Trump, Miller was the brains behind racist policies like family separation and the Muslim travel ban, and is using AFL to continue propagating his racist policies

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday it was reported that former Trump administration official Stephen Miller is suing the Biden administration over a program that provides aid to farmers and ranchers of color who have long been discriminated against throughout our country’s history. Miller recently formed a right-wing political group called America First Legal, with the sole purpose of suing the Biden administration in an attempt to stop his agenda from being put in place and progress being made.

“After years of promoting racist policies that ripped families apart and caused irreparable damage to our immigration system, Miller is at it again — now with an organization solely aimed at stopping progress by the Biden administration. Clearly the damage he caused throughout the Trump administration wasn’t enough,” said Kyle Herrig, president of Accountable.US. “With Miller at the helm, AFL is nothing more than a Trojan Horse that gives Miller and other far-right Trump alumni the opportunity to continue pushing their cruel policies. Its work must not be taken seriously.” 

Miller was a top Trump aide and the chief architect behind the family separation and Muslim travel ban policies during the Trump administration. He was also behind efforts to limit legal immigration and reverse protections for DACA recipients. Accountable.US has been working to hold former Trump officials like Miller accountable for their implementation of cruel policies that left a permanent stain on our country’s history and caused irreparable harm to our immigration system. Miller’s legacy will be remembered for his cruel policies that targeted some of our country’s most vulnerable.
