Yesterday, Heritage Foundation President and Project 2025 leader Kevin Roberts announced that the release of his book, Dawn’s Early Light: Taking Back Washington to Save America – where he attacks access to birth control, in vitro fertilization (IVF), abortion, and childlessness –has reportedly been postponed until after the upcoming election.

The reason why: he knows the more people learn what he and leaders of Project 2025 want to impose on Americans, the more they will reject it. It turns out an agenda that guts checks and balances, consolidates power for them and their friends while taking away our personal freedoms is very unpopular. No amount of delay will change that.”

Early copies of Roberts’ book include his endorsement of forced childbirth, fear-mongering about contraception, and attacks against IVF. Roberts even cites a neighborhood dog park as evidence of a supposed “antifamily culture” in Washington, DC. 

Shying away from the release of his book is the latest in Roberts’ efforts to conceal the truth about Project 2025’s intentions. Earlier this week, Reps. Jared Huffman (CA-02) and Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), co-founders of the Stop Project 2025 Task Force, led 38 colleagues on a letter to Kevin Roberts, requesting that he come before Congress to discuss Project 2025 and release its undisclosed “180-Day Playbook.” The letter states that Roberts has “conspicuously declined to publish or disclose any of the prioritized early actions that we believe would obviously be the most important parts of Project 2025.”
