DonorsTrust Shells Out Millions to Right-Wing Causes
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Accountable.US obtained DonorsTrust’s 2023 990 tax form, revealing millions more funneled to far-right groups like the Heritage Foundation, America First Legal, and the Federalist Society.

Key findings from DonorsTrust’s 2023 990:
- DonorsTrust’s expenses jumped by nearly $110 million from 2022 to 2023, despite contributions and grants falling by $77 million.
- The group funneled millions more into key conservative groups—many with close ties to right-wing dark money kingpin Leonard Leo—including:
- $10,510,292 to the State Policy Network
- $6,511,000 to Consumers’ Research, Inc.
- $5,192,200 to the Federalist Society
- $581,680 to Heritage Foundation and $607,000 to the Conservative Partnership Institute
- $4,261,350 to Teneo Network Inc., known as a secretive organization working to push an extremist agenda on a national scale.
