The Trump Tax Scam Hands Cash to Billion-Dollar Companies While More Than Half of Americans Are Stressed About Buying Groceries

WASHINGTON, DC – Despite campaign promises to cut costs for working families, President Donald Trump’s Big, Beautiful Betrayal is delivering billions in handouts to giant corporations and slashing food aid—at a time when over half of Americans are concerned about buying groceries.

Trump has done nothing to lower the cost of groceries, and his Big, Beautiful Betrayal has only increased the burden on local food banks trying to fill in the gaps. Rather than ease the burden of millions of Americans struggling to make ends meet, the President has consistently prioritized his own wallet and the tax benefits of the largest corporations cashing in on billions in tax breaks.”

Thanks to the Trump tax scam, 369 S&P 500 companies are expected to save $148 billion in cash, per the Wall Street Journal:

  • Nearly 40% of that windfall is headed straight to tech titans Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft.
  • Google’s parent company, Alphabet, and Amazon alone will each net more than $15 billion—money that could have helped reduce the strain on American families, not line the pockets of multi-billion dollar companies.
  • The corporate giveaway equals 8.5% of the companies’ estimated annual cash flow before July.

While big companies reap giant handouts, American families are getting the short end of the stick:
