Washington D.C.Revised tax filings for the Kash Foundation – a.k.a. Fight With Kash Foundation — obtained by government watchdog Accountable.US reveals a previously undisclosed massive payout to the group’s vice president, a close associate of President-elect Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, Kash Patel.

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit group founded by Patel founded in 2022 claims to pay legal fees and provide financial assistance to federal whistleblowers, veterans, law enforcement officers, and the families of January 6th defendants. Previous tax filings that Kash Foundation reported in both 2022 and 2023 indicated that it did not compensate its board members.

However, Accountable.US’ review of an updated version of the group’s 2023 Form 990, dated August 2024 and first reported by The Guardian, reveals the organization paid more than $275,000 to a company owned by its vice president, Andrew Ollis. Another disclosure, submitted to regulators in North Carolina, describes the cushy terms and conditions of the contractual agreement signed between the Kash Foundation and the company, One And Oh, LLC.  Under the contract, One And Oh—and thereby its sole owner, Andrew Ollis—would rake in a minimum of tens of thousands of dollars every year.

The reason for this omission is unclear. Why did Patel put off disclosing that his ‘non-profit’ group appealing to supporters of the January 6th insurrection is also a vehicle for funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars to his group’s vice president?

“Not known for his subtlety, Kash Patel has sought to make money off the Trump brand in several ways including selling a children’s book on election denialism,” said Accountable.US Executive Director Tony Carrk. “This enrichment also appears to extend to his friends and partners. Sadly, this appears to be the same, old Trump economic model that only looks out for the lucky few at everyone else’s expense.”
