Sarah Bruno is Chief of Staff at Accountable.US. She has almost two decades of experience in nonprofit management, having served in senior operations, finance, and fundraising roles at various organizations throughout her career.

Most recently, Sarah served as Executive Director of the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN), an organization committed to increasing the number and diversity of women in public policy leadership roles. Named one of NonprofitHR’s Nonprofit Leaders to Watch in 2018, Sarah served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Truman National Security Project, where she oversaw day-to-day operations, finances, and talent management for the organization. She previously served as the organization’s Director of Development. Prior to joining the Truman Project, Sarah served as the National Development Director at America Votes and a Development Writer at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Sarah began her nonprofit career at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She has also consulted with a variety of organizations to help them improve their operations and fundraising strategies.

Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a Women’s Studies concentration from Haverford College and a master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University.
